Smart Mobs introduction

Well before any piece of literature is written, there has to be an introductory couple of pages in the beginning, and this book has a few of those introductory pages. In these few pages, I am interested in what he is going to continue on discussing...what his main focus will be, because he already touched on so much information with such a broad subject of different technologies. However, I didn't like how he was giving human characteristics or living characteristics to computers, as he stated, "Then PCs mated with telecommunications networks and multiplied in the 1990's..." That kinda scares me when you think of human characteristics with PCs because I automatically think of Terminator! Even though he didn't even go into the subtopic of robots, that was where his words brought my mind to think. Anyway, I guess I look forward to this book just because it is about where this world, the environment and times that we are living in today, is transfering over into technology for almost everything. It's exciting!!

Who am I

My name is Kenneth Fink and I grew up in the small town of Norwich New York, not Norwich Connecticut. I am 21 years old and a senior at SUNY Cortland with a major in New Communication Media with a minor in Computer Applications. Within my college career I have done many things, but the most interesting decision that I have ever had the opportunity to come across my path is to be a Resident Assistant. I am in my 3rd year of being an RA and I hope to continue in the field of Student Affairs by reaching my most recent goal to become a Residence Hall Director. Then if I do get that position then I can continue my education in the field of student affairs. I am excited and nervous to begin my life after May, the time I am going to advance from this college. That is pretty much my game plan, which sometimes my plan does not always work. However, I am dedicated to this game plan, because it does not seem to far fetched.
